Her hair is Faezeh’s identity. Yet her thick curly hair is falling out in large clumps, the strands of her hair caught in bundles between her fingers. Faezeh resolutely packs her hair with her other things, she will be leaving Germany and returning to Iran.
While trying to pack an unmanagable ivy plant, first the plant falls on the floor and then she herself. The young woman experiences her fall as a surreal leap through time and space and also as a clash with the harsh reality of her old and new homeland.
Gis is a portrait of leavetaking.

Ever since she was a teenager, Bianca has been a political activist. After she finishes university, she decides to leave her native Malta and travel to Palestine. Her goal: to campaign for the human rights of Palestinian civilians and document violations of these rights. Every day, equipped only with a megaphone and a small camera, she accompanies Palestinian farmers to their fields and homes in the“Buffer Zone“ - the border area actively defended by Israel. One day, her camera captures the moment in which she, herself, is shot by Israeli snipers during a demonstration. Having returned to Malta, Bianca discovers that her Italian colleague and friend, Vittorio, has been kidnapped and murdered by members of a fundamentalist group in Gaza.
How to carry on after you`ve experienced life - and death - with such intensity?
How to come to terms with reality when your beliefs and assumptions have been shaken to the core?
What are the consequences of standing up for what you believe in?
A cinematic collage of Bianca`s journey home, her original footage from Gaza, and her new life in the North of England.
